Most units of blood donated world record broken – Canada.

Edie the Australian-born Cheetah released in Africa – South Africa.

 

She’s the first ever Australian Cheetah to be translocated to Africa. What fantastic effort from the conservationists involved.

Pictures of Eid celebrations around the world – Global.

 

One of the biggest celebrations in the Islamic calendar, it’s wonderful to see these pictures from around the world. In case you didn’t know, Eid al-Fitr means “festival of the breaking of the fast”.

Paw-some airport hires there for anxious travellers – Turkey.

 

The “Therapy Dog Team” is on call for support with snuggles and belly rubs. It’s already been a success and airport officials are planning to expand the pilot project. Woof!

 

Integrated health care for older people – Mauritius.

 

As the population ages rapidly, the Republic of Mauritius aims to better meet their needs through the country’s first National Integrated Care for Older People plan, developed with WHO support.
